    The Black Label Burger prepped medium rare leaves you savoring every bite, pair with Saint-Estephe 2015. Fries were okay.

    Ask for the famous Black Label burger, top meat, caramelized onions and very good fries. In French places is also difficult not to ask for a roasted bone marrow.

    Still the best meat in NYC. Also the old man and the sea cocktail was pretty great. Last price hike make this place pretty expensive.

    I hate to say this because I have put in the hours and the calories in research, but whatever burger you think is the best...doesn't even come close. I am humbled and appreciative. All thumbs way up.

    If you manage to get a seat, don't miss the $26 Black LabelBurger (and equally loved bone marrow appetizer). And be sure to say hi to Madonna or Gwyneth for us—they could be at the table next to you.

    The "doneness" scale at Minetta: Medium is medium rare and rare is, well, just really rare.

    Great old school feel NYC restaurant. Waiters are attentive, food is solid and drinks are substantial. Restaurant interior is beautiful.

    Black Label Burger, $28 The Black Label is still remarkably rich and costs only two bucks more than the day it debuted in 2009. Get it with cheese despite scoldy purist dictates.

    Black Label is packed with flavor.. ain't a burger you breathe in or you'll miss all the flavor. Savor it slowly. Too price-y though at $26.Cote de Beouff IMHO best flavor from a steak in NY.

    Had both the Minetta and the Black Label burgers. Save yourself some money and get the cheaper one; I thought it was just as good.

    Came for drinks, must return for dinner. This authentic New York saloon is Old School in a good way. They don't make 'em like this anymore.

    I personally think the black label burger is only ok. The beef patty was succulent and well-cooked but lacked flavor apart from the caramelized onion which was too sweet. The brioche buns were average

    Tad on the salty side. I was glad I sub'd my fries for a salad, which helped balance things out. Everyone else had fries & we all agreed they were too salty!

    Can't get in for dinner? Make a reservation for brunch instead, where you can have poached eggs and salmon over latkes, shirred eggs with truffle shavings, crispy thick-cut bacon, and a Bloody Mary.
