At brunch time, the Farmer's Breakfast is the way to go! A massive plate of 2 sunnyside up eggs, home fries, housemade sausage, Faicco's bacon, ham & country toast.
The kitchen closes at 11 pm and though the cocktail bar is open later. Start off with a dozen perfectly-shucked oysters, follow up with the meringue-like weisswurst, and finish with crispy Guinea hen. Leggi tutto
Possibly best steak frites this side of the Atlantic. Juicy steak, crispy charred on the outside. So good you leave the sauce right where it is. Goes well with a patio table and a bottle of red!
The Amish chicken and pork schnitzel are highlights from the dinner menu. If you’re dining in a large group, make sure to get a few of the housemade sausages for the table. Leggi tutto
5 oz. Burger: The thing about most burgers is that they're too much burger. That's why five ounces is perfect. Enough beef to satisfy my craving and a perfect proportion to condiments, cheese, and bun Leggi tutto
Ok, wow. This restaurant is a pantie dropper. Food and drink obviously amazing. But the atmosphere and service outshines how fkn great everything tastes. Nice job Frankie you sexy bastard.
if you're here with 4+ friends, start w the wedge and the sausage platter (as an appetizer! Tried the guinea hen and the steak frites and actually would come back for the crunchy, fried bird! Do it.
Our fave dishes - Bibb Lettuce, Spaetzle, Arugula & Pear Salad - aren’t heavy on the meat! So we can feel good ordering the Cote de Boeuf for 2 served with watercress - which is basically a salad!
There are brunch spots that are ideal for boozing, and those better for nursing a night of overindulgence. Prime Meats, luckily, fits nicely into both categories. Leggi tutto
This place is total hipster but it's also got amazing food. Go on Friday/Saturday for the Cote de Boeuf - it's an amazing steak meant to be shared. Might be my favorite steak in NY.
At lunch, the (cold) sliced ribeye sandwich on pizza bianca is superb. The lunchtime burger is on the small side (5oz) but chock full of dry-aged flavour. Great fries too.
Love brunch here. The French toast is simple and really good. The turkey bacon sandwich is great too. Also I don't like biscuits and gravy but I love it here!
Menu is constantly rotating but the pork chop with heirloom lima beans was so good. Pork chop was extremely tender and juicy. If spaetzle is on the menu, order it.
Best Steak Frites I have ever had and a very generous portion size. Pretzel is fine but very small and only worth it for a taste of the delicious stone ground mustard
At this hipster-Germanic bistro in the borough’s Cobble Hill neighborhood, heaping plates of choucroute and sausages and creative cocktails explain the long waits and devoted followers.
Yummy brunch - better than Bubbys & Buttermilk Channel IMO. The Maria Bloody Mary with Tequila rocks as do the bacon and biscuits. And if you don't try the pretzel, you have seriously missed out.
Try the exceptional Black Angus burger, ground daily, with a satisfying crust from the grill that gives way to a gorgeously pink interior that coats the mouth like steak tartare. Leggi tutto
The Côte De Boeuf is sold by the ounce with a minimum order of 27 ounces (about 1 3/4 pounds). Tackle a smaller steak on your own, or go for the 52-ounce monster to share.
Bone marrow, steak frites, the wurst, the schnitzel, and the mushroom spatzel. I dare u to order everything at the same time and finish it all! (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Leggi tutto
Great brunch if you like a good steak. Surprisingly to me though, it's not a steakhouse but German restaurant. So if you go for lunch, don't expect a steaky menu.
[from a Porterhouse guy] the steak frites was the best strip steak I've ever had. Thick, ton of flavor, perfectly cooked. Super impressed. PS-go more than medium rare and our friendship is over.
Mushroom Spatzel. Small is a good side for 1 person. Large could easily be split btw 2 people. For dinner, i suggest the white 1 Bavarian sausage with a small Spatzel. Great cocktails too!
The Côte De Boeuf is sold by the ounce with a minimum order of 27 ounces (about 1 ¾ pounds). Tackle a smaller steak on your own, or go for the 52-ounce monster to share.

Weekend brunch is shockingly uncrowded. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes... even on a Sunday afternoon. Nice alternative to Buttermilk Channel.
