Be early when you're departing from Guangzhou, the airport is big, and the signage for directions are not exactly clear.
Only 3G phones work in Japan. If you need a phone, there are mobile phones for rent at the arrivals floor. They also allow you to rent portable wifi router, if you need internet & not a phone.
There's an amazingly comfortable city shuttle to reach out to every corner for the city. Don't fall for the unreasonably expensive cabs. Check at 'Inquiry' and they'll lead you to the right bus.

The free wifi in the domestic terminal here is awesome, with a good security in place and speeds of upto 8.2 Mbps !!!
Metro Line 2 available from 7h00 to 22:00, the bus to PVG (Pudong Int'l Airport) is 40 mins faster than MTR.

Skybus to the city is the quickest and cheapest way to get to Melbourne's city central. You can also grab a free hotel bus from the end of the bus trip. Kind of a good way to get across town for cheap
Easy to get in and out of - tho takes awhile for ur baggage to unload compared to other airports. Qantas self check in is AWESOME!

Don't bother to convert your money to the local currency if you are on holiday here. You really can't spend it if you are heading to a resort. Even if you plan to go to Male, everyone accepts USD.

If you need to exchange currency, do it before you pass through immigration; the exchange counters near the gates limit the amount you can exchange if you are a foreigner

Take the airport express into the city and catch a cab at Sanyuanqiao or Dizhimen. It's only 25 CNY and well worth the incredible view of Beijing coming in.
Get the train to downtown Amsterdam. It takes only 30 minutes. You can lock your stuff in a locker.
One of my favorite airpot even one of the busiest place. First track is good system for frequent travelers.
