- Joanna FlammOttobre 25, 2015Food is good, nicely decorated with 1950s flare. Great for a date or dinner with your parents (if your parents can handle spicy food).
- Allison KaminskiOttobre 15, 2015Must get the dumplings and the spicy chicken!! Best dumplings I have ever had.... The sauce it's in is incredible!!
- What's Good HereAgosto 24, 2015Recommended - Braised Fish with Tofu Lunch Special. Fresh and meaty chunks of fish with tofu in a mildly spicy sauce.
- Gus BorrmannSettembre 19, 2015Shrimp dumplings are great. Pork dumplings with chili oil are amazing. And the King Pao Chicken is a good choice as well.
- Nick LoweryFebbraio 23, 2017Three pepper chicken has more sichuan peppercorns than Chunking chicken. We still had them bring extra peppercorn powder. It was quite good.
- Leslie TengLuglio 16, 2016Good spicy dumplings and tea-smoked duck. Dandan noodles are decent. Mapo tofu was genuinely spicy.
- Kan HsuSettembre 4, 2017Famous for its Chinese name "倾城" and it tastes just like you are in China! Another restaurant "倾国" is another style. I shall recommend "倾城" more.
- Guha ArunkumarGiugno 10, 2017Get the stir fried assorted fresh mushroom (and ask for it to be made spicy) irrespective of whether you're a vegetarian or not. 😋
- IrmaZandl ZandlSlantSettembre 5, 2013Excellent! Get the wontons with chili sauce and the lamb cumin - both amazing! Not crazy about the duck or the tofu.
- Jason H.Gennaio 7, 2016Everything is great - as the other reviews said - but nobody mentioned the excellent eight jewel rice pudding for dessert!
- Dustin McSwaneGennaio 17, 2015Great decor, food was delicious service was excellent, and stag was informative and friendly. I will most definitely be back
- David HuFebbraio 8, 2014I mean, I guess the place has a Michelin star but I wasn't blown away. Comparable to some Chinatown favorites.
- Rafi RomeroGiugno 27, 2015Food is good here but not spectacular. Favorites were the spicy wontons and the mapo tofu. Tea smoked duck, pork belly, and jellyfish were overrated.
- Curtis ShoungAprile 21, 2017dumplings, scallion pancakes + beef w/pickled veg or twice cooked pork... also their hot and sour soup is really quite good
- Best Chinese food in the city. Sautéed chicken filet, mapo tofu, and steamed soup buns are my faves but everything is delicious.
- Jagadish GandhiAprile 7, 2015Wonder how this place got a Michelin Star. Lunch menu is all precooked and dry. Lunch menu is tailored for a quick turnaround in business district.
- Noah NormanAgosto 24, 2016I was skeptical, given the location, the cocktails, and the Szechuan aspirations, but it's real. It's all real.
- Jonathan ChingMarzo 19, 2017Super authentic and affordable Michelin star. I order the fried spiced chicken and sour fish soup everytime.
- The fish with tofu in spicy sauce, Dan Dan noodles, scallion pancakes, and bok choi are a must
- Kathryn DFebbraio 7, 2017Awesome find amidst a good food desert. Recommend Dan Dan noodles and twice cooked pork.
- Sasha ChinnayaGennaio 13, 2019Such a cute place. Three pepper chicken is a must. It’s not that spicy. The drinks are really really nice.
- Authentic Chinese food! Great lunch specials. The lightly sauteed fish lunch special was DELICIOUS.
- LukeAprile 11, 2015The Dan Dan noodles are a must, regardless of whether you're going the dim sum or family style entree route
- The ma po tofu is way too salty. Cumin lamb is nice and tender. The menu should probably mention that the spicy wontons are also sweet.
- Josh SaletnikAgosto 22, 2014Old school fancy cocktails pair perfectly with spicy Chinese food! The aromatic fish was really yummy.
- Steph YiuDicembre 13, 2015I can't feel my tongue. The mapo tofu is good, but the Dan Dan noodles were the winner.
- Colin LeeNovembre 12, 2017Authentic and delicious Sichuan food - Dan Dan noodles and Ma po tofu, and cumin lamb!
- LorcánAgosto 26, 2016Tea-smoked duck was perfectly cooked. Among the best I've ever eaten. The sauce puts it over the top.
- Dani NedalOttobre 9, 2016Everything is great. Tea smoked duck is excellent. Pork dumplings in chili sauce are awesome.
- Chad HornerAprile 7, 2016has to be one of the, if not the most, affordable Michelin-starred meals you can get in New York
- Kevin O'NeillOttobre 9, 2016Even with sub-par service, there wasn't a thing on the menu that I didn't enjoy. From the dumplings to the short ribs. Must visit.
- Jen KDicembre 4, 2014If your thinking about ordering the tofu&pulled pork.. Make sure you get some extra soy sauce. (A little dry)
- Lunch specials are key here. One of the few classy yet easy sit-down places (with waiter service) to get a inexpensive lunch in midtown.
- LorcánAgosto 26, 2016Tons of stellar vegetarian options. Good labelling of V and GF options as well.
- Wilson ZhouLuglio 30, 2013Every thing is slow, kitchen, service...cheap lunch but can't wait that long. And I'm not very impressed by their dishes, other Chinese restaurants deserve Michelin's star unless judge only know spice
- HolidayGennaio 5, 2018My face is still on fire from hot and sour soup and ma po tofu but will be back for less spicy dishes.
- Curtis ShoungSettembre 9, 2016Tasty midtown chinese with a no tipping policy. Went with 4 total during work and spent $28 per.
- TingMarzo 13, 2015Perfect mix of Szechuan + Hipster. Highly recommend the cumin lamb and fish blossom.
- The Zha Jiang Noodle lunch special is out of this world. Delicious and good value!

http://freshnyc.com/chinese/cafe-china-michelin-starred-sichuan-chinese-food-midtown-0 Pork dumplings in chili oil - Travis RamseyDicembre 3, 2014Good kungpow chicken but have them hold on the Pepercorns! It ruins the dish. Super intense and small and hard to avoid.
- Justin SofferDicembre 23, 2016Order the cucumbers, scallion pancakes, sesame noodles. Everything was amazing.
