Matthew Caldecutt: Popular and cramped, it's a little loud and fellow diners are close, but great mussels, corn, and wine selection. Go with a group for small plates to share.
Matthew Caldecutt: Great one bedroom units with full kitchens and a nearby supermarket for groceries to make food when you're not out exploring. Fitness room and heated indoor pool too!

Matthew Caldecutt: The menu changes, but the liverwurst toast and brisket were fantastic. The dessert -- pumpkin-flavored beignets -- was out of this world (Get two orders!).
Matthew Caldecutt: It's a cozy spot with food and different coffee drinks -- Bulletproof coffee too. A great place to stop if you're headed to the museum.
Matthew Caldecutt: You'll see how the Shakers lived because people with foresight bought and preserved this site. Children will love seeing the cows, pigs, and chickens on site. Adults will enjoy the gift shop.

Matthew Caldecutt: Was at one of the Tokyo locations before getting in here given the popularity. Jade ginger iced tea and an original tonkatsu FTW. Well, for lunch at any rate.

Matthew Caldecutt: The wine list is superb. The cocktails are masterfully crafted. The food is great. My family loves the duck and pastas. Be sure to save room for dessert.
Matthew Caldecutt: I have been a loyal customer since the late 90s. Great service, expensive lenses, and speedy eye exams. Nothing you wouldn't expect. But, fhey last.

Matthew Caldecutt: It's still new and you can tell they're working the kinks out, but yes, the BBQ does have too much sauce on it. Other than that, I'll be back. It's not John Brown. It'll do for Forest Hills.

Matthew Caldecutt: The dumplings are fresh and the pad thai is definitely better than whatever they are calling pad thai at Thai Pot. Get a Thai iced tea for a pick me up.

Matthew Caldecutt: Arrive before 5:30 to beat the lines, but they form quickly and stay long. Sweet tea and spicy hits the spot; mac and cheese is mediocre.

Matthew Caldecutt: Pappardelle with spicy sausage ragu, kale and parmigiano was great. Burgers were the most popular order at my table. Looking forward to going again.

Matthew Caldecutt: I can't remember exactly what I ordered, but it was served in bowl. My companion and I ate maybe a quarter of it. It was delicious and we had no way to take the leftovers home.

Matthew Caldecutt: A lively lunch crowd comes for their ramen, especially on Fridays. They have sake from all over Japan, ramen in two sizes for those in a rush, and seating with compartments to hide bags

Matthew Caldecutt: Two scoops of anything on a hot day is fantastic. It's all homemade. I like butter pecan and chocolate chip. Add a banana for that old-timey feel.
