There's a great hike for out-of-town visitors. Starts near merry-go-round. 360 views of LA and Valley from the top, plus great views of Hollywood sign. But beware...a long uphill!

Go later in the day to avoid the crowd (most kids leave earlier), definitely do the ride but the one outdoors is not as worth it. Also, the butter beer is amazing! You can't go wrong with either.

In the 40’s, Helms Bakery trucks delivered baked goods to front doors all over SoCal. Soon, the former headquarters will house the revived bakery and marketplace, from chefs Sang Yoon and Sherry Yard.
The space is beautiful. You'll want everything on the menu, so come hungry and take your time choosing what to order. For breakfast, the fish platter with lox and a boiled egg is a great option.
This is the most beautiful beach I've been to in the U.S. Worth the short hike: 10 min down 20 up mostly stairs. No bathroom by the beach but there are portapottys in the parking lot. Be warned.
