Amsterdam Bucket List

Lauren Hannah: Easily the best bookstore in Amsterdam. Bargains and the massive graphic novel & manga sections are definitely worth checking out. Don't forget to show your student card at checkout!

Lauren Hannah: Bit overpriced and the atmosphere isn't great. I'd recommend checking out The American Book Center at Spui, just around the corner.

Segway Amsterdam: A relaxing nap on a sunny afternoon in Vondelpark is an absolute must on any visit to Amsterdam :) Grab a blanket and some snacks!

Lauren Hannah: Easily my favourite Starbucks in Amsterdam. It's massive, a lot of different seating options, clean toilets, and super nice baristas. Breakfast tip: Get mini pancakes with maple syrup!

Amsterdam Magazine: A really beautiful old fashioned cinema that screens independent films with a restaurant/bar attached. A great place for a dinner and a movie combo.

Appelogen.be: Cozy area with lots of nice independent shops. Not to be missed!

Lauren Hannah: Absolutely love the frozen yoghurt at this place, and the staff is fantastic and super nice. Recommended toppings: strawberries and stroopwafel (not necessarily together). New favourite froyo place!

Lauren Hannah: Amazing candy store! I'm not a big fan of candy in general, but these make my mouth water. Great gift idea as well! Don't forget to see if they're making candy while you're there, just downstairs.

Maarten Essenburg: On the second floor (go two stairs up!) of this amazing lomo house you'll find the lomo exhibition area with every four weeks a great new photo expo. Have a look and get inspired!

Tré Sweeney: Great place to just chill and enjoy the live entertainment around the square.

Lauren Hannah: One of the most beautiful shops in Amsterdam, although I've never bought anything there and probably never will. It's a bit over my (student) budget, but it's worth going there just to look!

Suzan Fluitman: Concerts are better here than anywhere else! Leggi tutto.

Guy Chen: Very nice and fresh pizza's and pastas. Good atmosphere but can be pretty crowded in the weekends. Nice to chill, have some food and drinks and there's also free wifi to check up on mail and stuff.

Business Traveller: Five floors crammed full of interactive displays, machines, experiments and films. Blow a human-sized soap bubble or experiment with electricity or gravity.

Sabine (Your Ambassadrice) de Witte: Amazing gift shop, design stuff and great travel books!
