The hype has (finally) died down since they opened. For a little more than $10 you can try both a sweet and savory biscuit. I like the Savory Character and Benton's Bacon, Egg and Cheddar! #nyceats

I love this place. Classic sausage & gravy is my favorite. Other notables include The Bright Crew (oxtail!!!) and Your Mother's House (maple syrup butter + pumpkin pie spread) with bacon added. Noms

If you love biscuits and jam - they have it all! Homemade. Open 24/7. I loved mine with good old plain butter! (P.S. Try their habanero sauce - spicy!)

Best entree sandwich is the country style with the pork sausage gravy. Best dessert sandwich is the 'Ben and Karen' (piced and Candied Pecan Butter with 24-Hour Apple Butter) on all-butter biscuit.

The Scotch Egg sandwich is amazing. In general, the default biscuit provided is the lard biscuit. If you prefer a more salty/buttery taste, you can request a butter biscuit.

Seriously, try the snuggah boo. Goat cheese and fruit, Sooo delicious. Also ask about the sides. The black Eyed Peas are fantastic!

Decent biscuits, but not near the buttery moist taste I was hoping for. Size is average. One could easily eat two with fixings - bacon, fried chicken, egg, different flavored butters and jams.

Really enjoyed the food here but IMPORTANT "eat in" the biscuits are hard as rocks and not as flavorful if they get cold. Empire to change to an insulated type of packaging to keep them warm.

Given its namesake, was really expecting better biscuits. Biscuit was dry and flavorless. Thankfully, the fried chicken was tender and nicely flavored with 5-spice and star anise flavors.
