For AirTran departures, walk in at the Southwest signs. The AirTran signs are not an accurate location.

Don't joke with the TSA employees at the security checkpoints, they have no sense of humor. That is unless you WANT to get strip searched. :-P

Without the rush-hour traffic to Dulles, or the limited range slots at Reagan, BWI is my favorite of the DC area. Consistently ranked among the best airports in the US by passenger satisfaction.
