Seattle's 400+ Parks [Part 2]

James Wang: High above in the southwest area of the park is a quiet meadow that offers great views, and is a nice alternative spot to be at from the bustle of the playfield below.

James Wang: A very well-maintained track and field that is great for running laps, or a few games of football, both American and association ^^

James Wang: The park gets its name from a creek that is located in the western area, past the well-designed playground and open green space.

James Wang: Sit along the concrete railing at the top of the sloping hillside for a fantastic view of downtown Seattle and surrounding areas.

James Wang: Have lunch on any of the benches overlooking the park and soak in the views of Lake Union.

James Wang: The tree stumps on the birch near the west entrance of the park is perfect for a picnic or little tea party, that is to say, if you don’t mind being low to the ground ^^

Mackenzie C.: Don't miss the top of the waterfall for the view. Also an often overlooked spot for picnics, reading a book, or playing in the grass. Visit during every season! I especially love late Fall and Winter.

James Wang: Whether it's playing ball, having a bbq, hiking through miles of wooden trails, or just taking in the beauty of the ravine from the footbridge, there's much one can do & explore at this massive park.

In Ballard: Watching boats going through the locks can be fun, but grab a seat on the grassy hillsides for great people watching also!

James Wang: Burn off a little of that yummy Paseo sandwich by making your way down south to this gorgeous view overlooking Puget Sound.

James Wang: Tho an unremarkable triangle of grass and trees, Corliss Place does make for a nice starting point along Keystone Pl N for a wonderful sunny stroll thru one of Seattle’s most charming neighborhoods.

HISTORY: Located on the north shore of Lake Union, the park has excellent water views and a spectacular, unobstructed view of the city skyline. It is a popular spot for concerts.

James Wang: This plain looking area of grass in the middle of a charming neighborhood in Wallingford is surprisingly a wonderful, quiet place to relax in the sun. Just don’t mind quizzical stares from residents.

James Wang: The trees here are very climbable. It's fun ^^

James Wang: Taking a neighborly stroll north along this sidewalk park, which is situated right next to northbound I-5 highway near Green Lake, leads to a fresh and budding community orchard.

James Wang: Great spot to view kayakers, paddle boarders, and various other types of boat traffic on the channel between Lake Union and Portage Bay.

James Wang: Ever wondered where Seattle’s "Ride the Ducks" amphibious tour vehicles enter and exit the water? Wonder no more ^^

James Wang: Before or after you spend your day at the nearby Gas Works Park, take a short visit to this staircase, highlighted by the colorful, circular glass and etched-metal mosaic, entitled "Pond".

James Wang: The metal constellation maps inlaid in the Beach Drive sidewalk on this stunning waterfront park represent the season and spot where you can best view each respective constellation.

James Wang: If you are able to take your eyes off the gorgeous views of the Sound and Olympic Mountains, you may see actual cormorants or even sea otters around this area.

James Wang: Only residents (and their guests) of the Windermere Neighborhood of Seattle are allowed access and are able to enjoy this beautiful, gated park.
