Best zoo I have ever seen. Animals are nearby, habitats are realistic and it is obvious the animals are well cared for. I will be back next time I visit Seattle!
The kids love playing on the boat by the penguins. The Northern area has an indoor space where kids can see the otters swimming. I’ve heard the zoomazium is a lot of fun too but closed during COVID.
Our first time here and it was really amazing experience! Experience new and rare creatures and animals never seen before in person. Next time we in town will visit again.
Make sure to get in early to avoid the crowds and check the daily schedule for shows/exhibit info. Example: Yola the baby gorilla is only on exhibit for a few hours each day at this time.
This is an excellent place to visit and to explore the information about various kind of animals and birds. I love to visit their and always enjoyed a lot.

Over the years this zoo has been overhauled and expanded, with lush, updated and expansive naturalistic habitats. Every animal you want to see is here.
Go when its rainy! There will be more parking available, fewer crowds, and sometimes its easier to see some animals because they're in their covered areas!
If you can't see the snow leopard, try standing in front of the raptor barn, facing west, and look up. Sometimes the snow leopard likes to people watch too!!

Boring. Maybe because I've been to Animal Kingdom at Disney though. All the animals here were either sleep or hidden behind all the junk in their habitat.. Also the paper map is highly innacurate.
Enter at the North Gate (on 59th) or West Gate (Phinney and 55th) to avoid long lines at the South Gate (main entrance). Street parking is often available along Phinney.Powered by ParentsConnect.com Leggi tutto
Go early, as soon as it opens. Animals are more active and crowds aren't as bad. North and West entrances are closed permanently in favor of the the new NW gate. Get a membership, it's worth it :)

Skip the main food place and head to Pacific Blue Chowder House. The food is better and it's less crowded. The outdoor seating can be tough if it's raining so bring a towel to wipe down the seating.

Hardly any of the animals were out. It was disappointing to my little girl. And the pathways need some work. If you have mobility issues some of them can be tricky.
Award-winning Woodland Park Zoo saves animals and their habitats through conservation leadership and engaging experiences, inspiring people to learn, care and act.
