This is my go to sushi place in the city, I love the fresh wasabi, all the different type of fish you can choose from and taste of uni was just amazing
Yes this place is crazy expensive, but the quality of the sushi ranks in the top 5 in the city. The weekday lunch special allows even the most common of us to sample their fare (in small quantities..)
Order the Botanebi (sweet shrimp), and you are guaranteed to come back. Not only can you taste the freshness and quality in the shrimp, but it’s that sweetness that makes it stand out from the rest.
Cold soba with salmon roe: The firm, chewy buckwheat noodles arrive in a pool of umami-rich broth with a touch of fresh wasabi and spring onions. Splurge on giant pearls of salmon roe. Leggi tutto
At 15 East, the sushi is as clean-cut as the sleek, white interior. Try the omakase (“I’ll leave it to you”), for ten pieces of chef-selected sashimi. Tuna fiends can delight in a flight.
Do the omokase if possible. Also they have great yellowtail sashimi plate. Surprise dish: lobster uni risotto - must try. SO buttery and creamy and the uni really shined through.
Awesome sushi and soba. The omakase menu is supposed to be excellent, too. We didn't love the more traditional, western items, including the cherry wood smoked duck ($32 ). Leggi tutto
Get the sushi omakase and make sure the shrimp and king salmon are in the mix. End on the yuzu soufflé...will leave you feeling satisfied and refreshed!
I discover 15East last year in it was one of my favorite in NYC. One year later they lost creativity, the service became usual... Just the price doesn't change! What happened 15east ?

The room, designed by architect Richard Bloch (Masa), feels like a sanctuary, and the food (fittingly) has a near-religious following among raw fish fanatics. Leggi tutto
