A must visit. Best views of Portland Maine. So much history and newly restored. It was built 1806. Very missable. The volunteers have so much knowledge and you can see their love of Maine.
Great scenery, especially at Lands' End, where islands and lighthouses are offshore.
Sunrise here was breathtaking. However, it's freezing cold. Like ice. Layer up as much as possible. Think you have enough layers? Add five more.
If you are going to hike one mountain, go for Beehive. It is one of the most unique hikes you will ever do and it is right next to Sand Beach
The overlook is nice, but be sure to take the path down...it's a short walk and definitely worth it!
Surrounded by tree covered cliffs on both sides. Try to visit midweek during the summer.
Make sure you get there 2 hours before high tide (morning and pm chances) to see the biggest and loudest splashes
To get the best pics if the BHLH take the unpaved path (near the restrooms) off the back of the parking lot.
