HISTORYAgosto 26, 2010Originally built in 1652 & converted to a Tavern in 1673. In 1708 the Tavern became the “birthplace of the businessman’s lunch” as city councilors dined & charged meals to the public treasury.

AndreaFebbraio 20, 2011So sad to say the WH is not what it used to be. Totally new menu. No wings no crispy chix wrap and fries are sub par quality. Not the same place with new chef. End of an era for me.
Order the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. SO good.

The food has really fallen off, I've never recieved cold food because the bartender was texting before. Service and food are terrible now. And no Jamesons. Allstons last hurrah.
Patio is pretty sweet. Enjoy it before it gets too chilly.
