The Metro North train to White Plains is easy but getting to the airport from the train station is a pain.

I got cash before going thru security because of all the cash only comments for food at the snack bar. Well it ends up that they take credit card now!

Taxi's are not waiting outside...you first need to check in at Taxi desk inside the airport - rates for most surrounding communities posted on wall - nice touch.

Very convenient to get to. Buy books and food before you get in, there is just a "cash only" food counter. Oh, and basically no outlets.

Long term parking is steep. Park downtown and catch a cab. Or try out Stewart Newburgh airport. Fewer flights but much less hassle and cost.

Make sure you are there extra early if you fly Jetblue. They tend to leave before scheduled departure time.

Park on the lower level of the garage. It's the same level as the ticketing counters.

If you're flying out of here you better pray you don't get delayed! The terminal is crowded and plugs are nowhere to be found! And food options.. One.

If you have a rental car and need to fill up, look for a service station 10 miles out. There is nothing close to the airport.

Only accept cash for food once you're through security. The ATM is outside security so get cash first if you need it.

Tiny, be aware of long, unorganized, slow security. However, if your plane is boarding they move you to front of security line. Also- carry on -- one baggage claim and it usually takes 40 minutes...
