Construction of this monument began on March 2nd, 1928 to honor those Virginians who served in World War I. Also, an exceptional place to make-out with someone's daughter during those warm VA nights.

Arts in the Park is a fun event the first weekend of May. July 4th here is also fun, but you can't always see the fireworks due to the trees.
