Take a break from your usual hipstercafes to enjoy some nostalgia at this old school place. Temp transport back to the past as you have their traditional kopi & toast while watching the world go by.
Get the round bun with kaya and butter..they are famous for their kaya...weekend very crowed as its situated right next to.,holy family church. Very limited tables. Can buy their kaya if u really like
All are good! Especially their kaya buns with butter toasted over charcoal grill. Old fashionedcakes, curry puffs, cream cones, custard puffs , egg tarts etc... Authentic Hainanese style!!
Very Crowded during breakfast timing .. Kaya bun was really cheap $1 , kopi n tea O $1 each as well ! Personally find that butter can be more generous 😋
Order their kaya toast buns, soft boiled eggs, luncheon meat buns, chocolate cupcakes and a Singapore Style Kopi to go along. Now thats the real Singapore breakfast experience. @Dndbay.com Leggi tutto
Standard dropped or what? Coffee aunty can't be bothered to listen to your request and serves u too sweet coffee, and Kaya bun is at best average. It's old school, but is old school poor.
The standards have dropped. Kaya is too sweet and is not prepared in a traditional way. There is nothing special about their buns or pastries. Very slow service.
There's NOTHING GOOD here! The WORST is the SERVICES. Taking order is FREAKING SLOW! The buns are not hot servings, am I ordering something like "cold ramen" ? NOT RECOMMENDED.
They simply don't bother about their customers. Just concentrate on doing their own things, simply Bo chap about customers sitting down & waiting to make order. Dunno how they survive so many years!!!
The only thing to rave about is cupcakes. $0.90 per piece. Coffee is not great, kaya toast is okay. Well most things here are home-made. If you like some traditional bakery, here's one good joint!
A landmark kopitiam in Katong, popular for its kaya, a type of... custard jam. The confectionery delights the residents of the east with its traditional breakfast.(Mostra altri)
