If you're a history buff, request the Kennedy Booth. Upstairs on the back right, it seats 6 and was the preferred spot of JFK when he came to visit.

Boston's oldest restaurant. Most people go for their famous seafood restaurant, but I actually love their grilled cheese sandwich!

They may not have the best seafood but you come here for the experience. And when you do that, make sure to have a reservation. Otherwise wait could be long.

Chowder is fantastic as is the corn bread that comes with every meal. It's also the birthplace of the toothpick

Crab cake appetizer, corn bread, and pan seared shrimp over rice were all good. Baked scrod was cooked well, but lacked flavor.

Believe the hype, the food holds its own against the fierce competition. Have at least a lunch here, for the rich history if not for the excellent food.

King Louis-Philippe of France once lived on the 2nd floor. JFK was a regular. John Kerry is a regular. The oldest continuously operating restaurant in America is quintessential, historic New England.

Untouched colonial architecture... which is a rarity even in the heart of Boston. Worth a visit for that atmosphere alone.

Building dates to 1714-17. UOH opened here 1826. Almost 1/2 of items on current menu were on 1st menu. 1st toothpick used here. Booth 18 upstairs is JFKs (who was a regular). More info in blog. <LINK> Leggi tutto
