The only bar in Times Square that doesn't feel like Times Square. Swanky atmosphere and the cocktails are well-crafted (and strong). You might remember this bar from a few scenes in Birdman.

Don't let the location fool you, it does NOT feel like Times Square. Great spot if you're in the area (or need a pre or post theater spot). Solid Manhattan cocktail! And live music via piano.

I was skeptical going to a bar right in the heart of Times Square. The Rum House dashed those feelings with a strong Rum heavy cocktail menu. Try the Rum Old Fashioned. Other liquors available too

Amazing live music!!! Great classic cocktails as well, and you can customize your booze options. Crowd is a mixed bag of midtown bros and tourists. Good spot but snag a table if you can.

Great place. Surprisingly good old fashioned atmosphere as for bar near Times Square. All bartenders are real pros. If you nifty for your cocktail taste don’t hesitate to go here

Bottom of the Edison Hotel, classic spot by the people of Ward III. The place gets packed with suits (naturally), but behind all that, this is one of the best spots to drink a cocktail in Midtown.

Literally the only good thing in Times Square. Legit cocktails, relatively quiet on weekdays, with the occasional live jazz band. Beautiful spot hidden in plain sight.

Small and cute place. Due to its location - it's packed with tourists. The live jazz music (daily from 9:30PM) is great but the volume makes it hard to hold a conversation. Gets busy even mid-week.

Amazing bar, great variety and quality of cocktails. The performance of the band “mimi and the podd bros” was magnificent. I really recommend it.

They don't serve food, so make sure to eat beforehand. You will likely have more than one drink. Don't be afraid to order off menu. Pick a spirit and have the boys create something magical.

Properly spicy bloody mary on weekends from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The best in Manhattan! another called the Andrew Jackson, made with white whiskey and smoked paprika, garnished with salami. try it!

If ever visiting NY you must stop by the Rum House. The atmosphere is unexpected. The service is exceptional. You won't want to leave.

Found: a not crowded, good cocktail making, good music having, dark wood decorated, piano bar off Time Square. Never Chevy's again while you're waiting for a show!
