Types of Massages

We use the session time frame as a reference. We will always allow enough extra time in the schedule, so that if a session needs to go a bit longer, it can. We want to take care of you, not just fill a time slot.

Custom Massage

Of course, all of our massages are customized for each individual. However, in this massage, after our certified massage therapist discuss your massage goals with you, we will select whichever modality or mix of styles is appropriate for whatever your body needs. This can be a mix of sports therapy massage, Swedish, deep tissue massage or myofascial work. If you don't know which massage type is right for you... ask for the custom massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension slowly in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Some of the goals of deep tissue work are to alleviate pain, bring better flexibility and more fluid movement, and to relax and release tight holding patterns. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Open communication with your therapist during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get uncomfortable.

Maintenance Sports Massage

Maintenance Sports Massage is a type of massage designed for anyone who engages in any form of exercise or who just wants to stay more supple. Sports Therapy Massage can enhance performance and possibly prolong a sports career by helping to prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling in the body, relax the mind, increase flexibility, and improve recovery rates. Like all of our services this massage is tailored to each client's needs, but can involve a mix of deep tissue work, stretching, myofascial work, and Swedish techniques.

Hot Stone Therapy

Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated basalt stones are used in the therapist's hands during the massage to promote a deep relaxation. Muscles that are heated with stones during massage can often soften and loosen up a bit quicker. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.

2 Hour Tahoe Special

Enjoy a wonderful 2 hour massage, custom made to suit your needs. 90 minutes of any of our massage modalities with an extra 30 minutes added on for a more in depth foot treatment and/or scalp work. Its up to you. One of our most relaxing and rejuvenating massage treatments.

Relaxing Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. If you just need to unwind and let go of stress, this is the massage for you. By using an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and gliding, this massage can help improve circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and can include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, and greater flexibility.

A massage that focuses on your hardworking back, shoulders, arms, and neck area. Perfect as a relief for those long hours spent sitting at a computer. A variety of techniques are used depending on what you need. Stretching, deep tissue, swedish, and trigger point therapies used.

Recovery Sports Massage

This is a sports massage that is done at least a day after an athlete has completed a work out or competition. The intent of this massage is to increase range of motion, reduce soreness, promote lymphatic drainage and to restore flexibility. The certified massage therapist will discuss the type of sports activity, and the amount of stress that has been placed on the athlete' s body, with the athlete before administering the massage. A combination of massage strokes and stretching along with application of heat or ice may be used.

Our couples room is wonderful!! Relax and rejuvenate together in our new spacious, beautiful couples suite. Choose the massage that best suits your needs from our licensed therapists, and be in the same room together. To book a couples massage online, please book 2 individual custom massage appointments for the same time and write "couples" in the notes.

Feet

Take care of your tired, overworked feet with our special 30 minute foot treatment. We start with hot towels and a soothing foot scrub using Pure Fiji coconut milk and honey sugar scrub. We follow the scrub with more hot towels and an in depth foot massage using Pure Fiji body butter. 30 minutes of bliss. Your feet will thank you.

Scalp

Get extra time added onto your session for that much loved scalp and hair massage and/or hot oil scalp treatment. We add 15 minutes to your session for scalp and facial work with attention to sinus areas. As an added bonus, if desired, we will also warm up our wonderful Pure Fiji coconut milk and honey oil and apply to your hair to alleviate dryness.
