- Huge variety of amazing Japanese food and groceries. Very cheap, but be careful of $10 credit card minimum. If you want to get one of those cold bento boxes to eat upstairs, they have a microwave.
- BusetoFebbraio 1, 2015They have so many goodies, and their products are well-labeled and good quality. There's also a selection of meat, fresh fish and sashimi, and to-go lunch boxes. Best way to act like a Japanese.
- TimelessnomadGennaio 10, 2013Great little Japanese mart near Grand Central. Awesome take out food with sit down area upstairs. Japanese dry goods and some housewares. A good little spot when your in the neighborhood.
- Maggie LiuSettembre 17, 2013Although it's a bit hidden behind the curry/udon station, the rice burgers are a great find. Highly recommend both the salmon and pork kimchi rice burger. Portion's perfect for lunch.
- ViajanteOttobre 5, 2015Um verdadeiro achado, escondido numa rua perdida de NY. Um mercadinho típico japonês, com produtos difíceis de se ver no Brasil. Você pode comprar seu bento e comer no local também. MUITO gostoso!
- YuanDicembre 21, 2012The food is delicious and super cheap for this area. I had the pork katsudon which was crispy in the outside, tender in the inside and served with a delicious sauce over brown rice.
- John ADicembre 15, 2014Japanese market in back with bakery and ready to take away in the front. Good selection of harder to find Japanese grocery items... Decent prices, credit card with $10 min.
- Tim LeeDicembre 6, 2018Authentic Japanese food and market. Quick and delicious. I always buy too much :)
- Karissa✨Maggio 29, 2015The little market in the back is awesome. $10 credit card minimum, but it's super easy to find lots of snacks to get past that.
- Order hot food for lunch or early dinner. Buy gifts from Japan, have a Sapporo! Great spot. One of my favorites in the city.
- Emily YocomOttobre 3, 2015Best selection of Japanese candy I've seen anywhere so far! Good prices, too!
- Sunrise MartDicembre 27, 2013Sunrise Mart has started a new Facebook page! Please like us: https://www.facebook.com/SunriseMart with updates on new items, in-store specials, sales, and when to buy Green Tea Kitkat!
- Heather HGennaio 6, 2016The ramen is pretty good, they only have it after 2pm. I enjoyed the sukiyaki rice bowl but it needed a little more sauce.
- They have great variety of Japanese grocery. Pastry and bento box make great quick meals
- KarenAprile 10, 2023Enjoy a hot meal - there is seating available upstairs. Grab some grocery items to go.
- KanoMaggio 10, 2013Their bentos are tasty and great value. During lunch you can get s miso soup with your bento for a dollar!
- R GGennaio 12, 2016Supermarket selection is great; but the chicken katsudon I just had for lunch was AWFUL!
- Can't go wrong the Chicken Katsu Curry with brown rice. Only issue is you need to pay cash if total isn't over $10.
- Great place to pick up shirataki noodles. This place is da bomb. It's as convenient, fresh, delicious and affordable as the East Village location.
- Just as good as the other locations, true authentic Japanese food
- Jay SAprile 3, 2016Market selection is much smaller than their east village location, but they have hot and cold food to appease the Midtown lunch crowd
- Marcel BrionesAgosto 24, 2011Oyako Don cooked to order with brown rice is the single greatest expression of umami at sunrise mart. Get it cuz it's always hot.
- I usually have the pork Katsu curry when I come for lunch. Don't recommend the ramen, unfortunately.
- Marisa JaberAprile 8, 2013Busy little place! The vegetable yakisoba was OK, not something I'd get from there again. However, they have plenty of stuff in the back to make your own meals!
- Yuxin GaoOttobre 19, 2015Good Japanese lunch box and udun noodle. Can sit at the second floor. No tips.
- Chicken katsu curry is tasty and at a good price
- jonathan hegranesMarzo 29, 2013Order lunch, then go shopping at their Japanese grocery store in the back.
- Michelle ConnochieFebbraio 5, 2018Cramped, busy and full of rude people bumping you out of the way and pissy staff shouting. Definitely avoid and go to Dainobu instead.
- Jenn BernsteinGennaio 3, 2011Front of the store is all the best baked goods from Panya Bakery on E. 9th Street.
- Forget the line at Starbucks - get your morning iced coffee here.
