Wow! Absolutely go to Artist Point and Chain Lakes (Bagley Lake Trail). These are most beautiful and scenic with the mountain tops and reflections in the lakes!

Incredible park. Great Ranger staff and there's not a bad view anywhere. Do not steal petrified wood.
Bring your own food :) some sundries, beer, frozen foods, but not much just canned & dry goods. The 6 mile loop High Peaks via the caves is great for big views and mild to strenuous hiking.
Check out Fern Canyon and take a side trip to the beach from the parking lot. You might run into a herd of male elk on the dunes.
Trail Ridge Road, which runs through the park, is the highest paved through-road in the US.

Drive skyline drive at sunset for your best chance to catch wildlife. Just be careful, they can be really hard to see.
