- Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means, a whale's vagina.
- Las Vegas MannequinsDicembre 4, 2011The San Diego International Airport is the busiest, single-runway major airport in the nation and the second in the world after London Gatwick.
- You're pretty close to Flagship Cruises and Events! Hop on a harbor tour and check out the spectacular San Diego views!
- While parking is under construction, you can take one of many shuttles to alternative lots. Try the commuter terminal lot - it's always empty!
- DougOttobre 4, 2017Small airport but recently remodeled. Fairly easy to navigate. Clean and spacious.
- Long security lines so plan ahead or do priority! Also SWA gates 1 & 2 require security again for connecting
- Use the bathroom before going through security, if you're able. There is just one in gate, everyone has to go!
- Red BullDicembre 31, 2011If flying over Embarcadero Marina Park on 12/31 try to catch a glimpse of @RedBull: New Year. #NoLimits - or just tune in to ESPN from 8p PT.
- Marmie NineGennaio 6, 2013get here well before your hour...security line is one of the longest I've ever experienced! we were 1.25 hrs early and I'm sure this will take forever. ridiculous!
- Make sure to enjoy some TCBY frozen yogurt. To my knowledge it's the only place in San Diego to get it.
- Cindy LopezNovembre 29, 2013If you are connecting in LAX make sure to go to commuter terminal otherwise you have to take the airport loop bus to get there.
- Classic San Diego: mellow, spacious, and beautiful.
- If you're flying Southwest, make sure you get in the security line as soon as possible. The line gets super long. Don't moss your flight!
- Small and convenient, though aot of times TSAPre isn't open. They give you a pass to keep your shoes on but it isn't the full program.
- I like how you tag your own bag with Alaska, considering that I've had agents almost put the wrong one on mine before.
- Welcome to Sunny San Diego! Enjoy our downtown & have fun during your stay!
- Staci RaeAgosto 18, 2013Delta's First Class service is not as nice as it used to be! Beside the free drink I feel like I am on a Southwest flight!
- Southwest terminal main boarding area has a very crowded and small men's room. Take care of business downstairs before going through security.
- If flying out of T2 north security lines tend to be shorter and pre check is available here too
- Sahar AhmadSettembre 6, 2012Security will let you through to any gate terminal. Make sure you check overhead signs declaring what gates are past your checkpoint! Security lines can be crazy long.
- RoscoeMaggio 14, 2013Was at Gate 47 in Terminal 2 and each seat has a phone charger jack and USB port. Brilliant!
- Love terminal 2, if you don't have it, get TSA Pre!
- If your flying out United, don't pass up a Bloody Mary at the Sports Bar next to Gate 14. Best Mary around! Order it spicy. :)
- New terminal 2 is pretty great! Nice to see we caught up with services at other airports!
- Don't panic, usually TSA lines are not that long :)
- SD is a great place to visit or live. Just be ready for lots of congestion.
- Russell GannLuglio 22, 2013This is a very laid back airport compared to LAX. Kind and polite people!!
- George JurgensOttobre 26, 2012Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina
- As long as you're in terminal 2 you'll be ok, if you're in terminal 1 on a busy weekend, good luck finding a seat.
- David WilksNovembre 13, 2013Here's the tip of the day! Do not tell these people you hate Muslims, Obama or have read the Anarchist Cookbook!
- Make sure you get onto the Pre TSA program if possible, back to the good old days of security check point!
- Get yourself a ride through Uber or Lyft the moment you touch down, otherwise they all get picked up pretty quick!
- The burger place at Southwest's terminal is AMAZING!!!!
- Relatively small airport but security is mostly quick. Limited decent options for food but Peet's and Einstein are my personal fav after Aspire Club
- Why is this city so delusional about the idea of a bigger airport? It's one thing to wait forever to go through security but something completely different when you don't have room for the line.
- Tricia DzialoMaggio 30, 2013New terminal 2 still in construction. The plus is the in the waiting area all the seat have an electrical outlet.
- I'm not a fan of the off-site rental car center. Otherwise, this is a decent enough airport. Very busy at times.
- In terminal 2, security is quickest in the am. Terminal 1 can often be the opposite. Staff are often very friendly unless you're rude to them. Lots of Starbucks and they're building another one in T2.
- Jeannie BrownNovembre 6, 2014It's clean has everything except foods and drinks are expensive at the airport in SD
- Easy airport to fly in and out of. They are renovating the Admirals Club--can't wait to see it!
- Go to Neighborhood at 777 G St and ask the waitress about Noble Experiment. See the city from the Altitude Bar at the Gaslamp Marriott. It's breathtaking.
- Terminal 2 now open. No more funky uturn if you are coming from Point Loma.
- cloud 9 Co-OpLuglio 14, 2012Always back your beer with a shot... It saves you 4 bucks and you actually catch a buzz!!
