Like all good ideas, the premise of this Hackney wine bar is wonderfully simple: Buy quality wines in bulk so customers can order by the glass or bottle at very reasonable prices.

Daily (!) wine menu curated by London wine god Michael Sager-Wilde, who also crafts lists for other local spots like Happiness Forgets. The grilled cheese here is legendary.

A great wine bar ran by Sager + Wilde and is ran by the very friendly husband and wife Charlotte and Michael. Taking the pretentiousness out of wine drinking with a focus on friendly service.

They do a complimentary wine if you can guess the grape and region! Personnel knows their wines and will be sure to serve to your taste if wine is not your forté. Great hangout.

Believe the hype - it is a great first date spot, with an excellent wine selection. But don't sleep on the food - the grilled cheese sandwiches and chocolate-filled raspberries are well worth it too.

Great looking venue, classy atmosphere. Wine list superb. Love the Pinot Noirs. Nice place to work with a glass or two of red. Free wifi & plug points. Very friendly staff. Very much a favourite.

When they get busy, the service lacks, but they made up for it w a glass of wine. Be patient. Excellent food! Got the trout, courgettes, grilled cheese & one of the cheeses. Great wine too.

Great spot for a nightcap. Small space, and I think if I wanted Sager + Wilde wine with dinner, I’d go to the larger one on Paradise Row.

Perfekt fürs Apero. Schöne Weinauswahl, viele offene. Dazu gutes Trockenfleisch, Käse, Brot und Olivenll.... Definitiv einen Besuch wert.

After all the lovely reviews I read it was really disappointed. The place was cold and the staff are lacking in knowledge. The special wine of the day is "only sometime " :-(

This place has gone downhill big time. “Kitchen is closed” wtf? All they fecking serve is toasties anyway. Wine list half unavailable. Crap service. Avoid.

A glass seems 2 b a mere 100ml but u wouldn't know 4 sure as they don't tell u what ur buying for the money - they r serving fine wines but this feels like a rip off for the amount
