Serious EatsGiugno 18, 2013A favorite local deli with great Italian sandwiches and some of the best pizza in northern Astoria. Their fresh mozzarella, made daily, is the highlight of the deli case.
If you're thinking about making eggplant or chicken parm, don't. Buy the cutlets here, get a quart of Rosario's sauce and some fresh mozzarella and you're ready to rock and roll!

When ordering prosciutto, go domestic and be sure to get slices off the end which is far sweeter then the middle. Yes it's a bit tougher but far more delicious and well worth your money.

Slice Pizza BlogNovembre 10, 2010Our tip? Rosario's sells pizza by the slice. And it is killer. Not just "good for an Italian deli that also happens to sell pizza," it's the best slice for blocks around.
Sometimes the mozzarella is still warm when you buy it. Eat it as soon as you can. It will bring a tear to your eye.
