JamesSettembre 29, 2012Highly recommend the Gouda grilled cheese sandwich, and the tomato soup both taste great. Coffee I tried the iced Guatemala with milk, tasty. Only bad thing was the service. Waitress was rude.

Skip the coffee and come for their grilled cheese, soups, salads and on-tap beers. It's a great place for comfort food or healthy food. But not for coffee.

I loooooove the mac and cheese.- the egg and cheese sandwich is awesome. the ingredients are ultra-local. Try the Cortado or an awesome V60 Pour over! I love this place and wish there was one on the upper east side.

Grilled cheese was awesome and tomato soup never been a fan but loved it here...the set up all wood tables and chairs..definitely a hidden gem
solid selection of beers. food-wise, you kind of have to be in the mood for a fancy grilled cheese, but they're really good.

Incredible flavors in the egg sandwich. Such a great way to start a day, dances on your palate, sweet and salty. Don't share, get your own!

- Try the matcha latte. It's one of the best in NYC.

A. MartiniMarzo 30, 20122nd time here, the staff are NOT friendly. I have a growler from my last visit. I made sure 2 let them know I want 2 refill. I received the check as soon as I was done w/food. They 4got 2 refill it.
I used to love this place.. Until now. the food, it's lathered in butter and cooked to perfection. Yet, I left disappointed, annoyed and hungry. Ignoring waitress, loooong wait and small portion size- best coffee shop in astoria, and maybe NYC. great cortado's, awesome pour-over, and a great food-nerdy menu. love.
