Concours D'Elegance is held here every year. Beautiful cars in a a beautiful place by the sea. Love it!
Be sure to patronize these independent book cafes. They're a dying breed, and this one is particularly homey and welcoming. Be sure to go to author readings/signings! They get a lot of good ones!
Riva has the best fish, and even if you don't go for dinner - get the gelato at the gelato bar on the left as you go in the door. FABULOUS!
Avoid the 17 Mile Drive on weekends and during events (golf, Concours D'Elegance, etc.) Be sure to stop and explore. There isn't a part that isn't beautiful!
Worth the climb. Beautiful views when not foggy! Is usually very windy, though, so have a jacket/sweater.
