My fave speakeasy date spot because the cocktails are delish, the space is intimate & it's truly feels like Manhattan. Luxury & quality is accessible to those who really want it badly enough #NYNY
The reservations-only LES cocktail bar where namedropping, hooting and hollering, hat-wearing, and hitting on women are all prohibited by the house rules. There’s an extensive cocktail list Leggi tutto
One of the best if not the best speakeasy in NYC. You can go no wrong here as the mixologists here are the best in their field. Great place to have conversations whether it be with friends or dates.
Many of the tips here are out of date and refer to the old LES venue (eg. the call ahead/ exclusive door policy). The new location is beautiful, roomy and the drinks are still stellar.
Milk & Honey simply focuses on the classics (pre Prohibition) and provide a quiet atmosphere. 6 person group maximum. Now located in the Flatiron, don't be fooled by the Home Depot facade. Cash only.
A speakeasy place! Good cocktails.. They don't have a menu, the waitress ask what type of mood you are in and bring you the cocktail! We never had a bad one.. Trust them!
A real speakeasy with a "live" menu, the girl is so welcoming and I just told her I want a little bit gin and champaign and she got me this lovely French 75
First visit, I spotted a woman being poured a cocktail that looked similar to cafe con leche (but cold, obviously). So I ordered the "cafe con leche thing." Delicious. I wish I knew the actual name.
New location in Flatiron for the LES classic and best speakeasy in NYC. To get in you have to be a member or go with a member. Fish House Punch still my fave!! Ask the barman for the specials.
In its new space (& hood), Milk & Honey stays true to it's roots. Order your favorite Cocktail or a Bartenders' choice...you can rest assured it will be perfectly executed.
Enter this speakeasy through the most non-descript of entrances and be transported to the prohibition era and enjoy what the bartender makes you. Make reservations.
The old location was my favorite bar in the city for both its atmosphere, service, and quality of drinks. I'll need to try the new one near Madison Square Park out.
Decor was still unfinished when I visited this place. The new location still has some kinks that need to be worked out, but the bartending service is still top notch just like the old place!
Possibly the best cocktail I've ever had?!? Wintery, gingery alcoholic deliciousness. You really are in good hands and the bartenders will do you right.
Pricey, STRONG, creative drinks. Vodka lovers beware; you will not find V here! The hostess is nice with a bitchy undertone. More of a couples/date ambiance. Everything's lit by candles & 20's tunes
Haitian Divorce is good. If you're thinking about getting the pretzel rolls though walk across the street to Duane Reade, buy a piece of dry bread, and grab packets of mustard instead. Same thing.
Make sure you don't get here hungry. There is no food menu here, just nuts, olives and pretzel bread offering. They do have a menu for beer wine and aperitifs.
Pick your choice of spirit and the bartender makes tasty cocktails... Quiet place with low music and people chatting in cubicles. Wouldn't go for a club scene.
Make sure to make a reservation! They don't allow walk-ins... an keep an open mind. They don't HHS menus, but they will make you something amazing that you've never heard of!
Fantastic space and food, you almost won’t notice it walking between the Subway station and a McDonalds. So keep your eyes open. Between the Top5 Hidden Bars in NYC, read more on the link! Leggi tutto
Don't try to pop in unannounced at this hidden speakeasy. Appointments are required, but once inside the knowledgable bartender will create original, masterful cocktails at your request.
Best bar in NYC. Get Sam or Mikey to mix you something classic and enjoy. The bar that brought back the cocktail craze. (4 of 4 petals via Fondu) Leggi tutto
New location is larger but drinks just as good. Free drink special after 130AM on Monday and Tuesday according to the bartenders tip. He said spread the word. Cheers!
The so-called "30 minute" wait actually took 2 hours. Cocktails were delicious and custom made, however! Thirty two bucks for two bartender's-choice drinks.
Service with attitude, drinks are great but if your paying the premium cocktail price, might as well go somewhere with more ambiance and maybe a cocktail menu of some sort
Mixology boot camp begins here! This is the perfect place for a secret rendezvous! The Ash Wednesday cocktail was perfection~blackberries, gin, honey & cream. I want another~now!
Just let the mixologists work their magic. No menu here, and that's what's great about it. Just tell them the flavors you like. The housemade ginger beer kicks some butt.
Try the "Archangel." Gin, Aperol, cucumber, lemon twist-- delicious. You can find bartender Michael McIlroy's recipe in the book "Speakeasy Cocktails" created for iPads. http://bit.ly/foursq_cocktails

Getting inside this spot is somewhat of a mystery, but if you're lucky, you'll love their cozy atmosphere & no menu needed drinks. Also check out the rules posted in the bathroom.
There is no sign on the door; you have to knock hard and someone will open it for you. Make sure you have a reservation. They just created online booking system.
Milk and Honey is one of the more exclusive speakeasy located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. To get in to this bar you need to make prior reservations via email only. Leggi tutto
This spot is for serious cocktail lovers! No fancy decoration, no pretentious doorman, this tiny space offers personalized cocktail masterpieces. Name your poison and get ready to be impressed.
An unlisted phone number and an entrance policy that requires a referral and an appointment make this flagship Sasha Petraske spot one of Manhattan's most exclusive lounges.
