Hope Greg is your bartender. He is awesome! The Bennet cocktail is delicious and don't leave without trying the grilled octopus.

Super yummy brunch but small coffee portion (personal French Press) leaves me wanting more -- wish it were 50% bigger.

Fish and chips are by far the best I've had in NYC. Kale salad was also excellent.

The building above the patio is currently under construction, which is pretty loud. But everything else is amazing!

Definitely recommend this place. Order small plates to share, that way you can try more dishes.

Mayfield is named for Curtis, which could account for why the food has been described as “soul-food influenced.” In fact, the only dish that qualifies is the buttermilk-fried quail.

There was a mountain of soggy chips and a smidgen of fish in an undercooked batter. It was greasy as hell, but not as greasy as the Cuban sandwich whose bread oozed oil as you picked it up. Oysters OK

Uh wow, chicken liver mousse is absurdly rich and delicious. Buttermilk fries quail is a nice take on a southern classic. The bread pudding was to die for. It had Rum Carmel sauce. Nuff said
