Soft opening, awaiting liquor license. Regionally sourced foods (smoked and cured fish, cheese, olives, etc) to complement the white wine / sherry menu. From former GMs of Torrisi & Parm.

David HollandsAgosto 16, 2014New place on Ave B serves specialty tins of select fish and seafood in seasoned oils. Comes with warm pitas and butter for dipping and sharing - fantastic. I labeled the tins for the curious.

Serious EatsLuglio 30, 2013Go with one or two friends and order the $50 big board to split a feast of cured meats, preserved fish, cheese, and accompaniments. Canned seafood is also high quality and reasonably priced.
Pay your respects to the Life Cafe menu hanging in the bathroom. (“Life Cafe” was in this spot from 1981 - 2011)

- One of my favorite places in the East Village! Go for the house wine w/ sardines and octopus!! And the soundtrack is a plus.

Great corner local bar with outdoor seating in the summer right on Tompkins Square park. Friendly staff, good small seafood plates menu and beer selection.

Good music. Great craft beers available. Have some cheeses, cured meats and pickled seafood. Be adventurous.

Wine here is damn good, and these lovely bearded gentleman know what they're talking about.
