One of the newer memorials, but a definite "must-see". Located directly between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. Very scenic!

Look forward to escaping the cold winter weather in this waterfront tavern with two large fireplaces, a seasonal cocktail list, and ample comfortable seating.
If you like variety then old town is definitely the best place to go. Summer time is amazing because of the waterfront and the restaurants located on the waterfront provide a beautiful experience.

Picnic tables fill up quick. Pretty shallow, nice soft sand.
This is easily the best museum ever. It spans generations. I highly recommend the Rifle Range experience. I loved teaching my daughter the history of my Marine Corps.
