Very well done museum for a rather small town like this. Some fantastic artwork that highlight Nebraska artists, also free! So no excuse not to go!
What would appear to be a gimmicky tourist trap is actually a pretty well done museum that highlights Kearney as the crossroads it has been throughout American history. Worth the stop, seriously!
If here during Crane season you must, must, must get a spot in the blinds at sunup or sundown. What an experience.
Good steaks and kitchen open late on weekends. Dry aged KC Strip is where it's at.
There is a bison heard that can be viewed from here but didn't see them out. Otherwise nice facilities to stretch the legs off I-80
Really nice city park, climb the tower for great views and just wander and take on nature.
Well located, the Kearney Hike and Bike trail runs nearby as well as some good food/drink options.
Highly recommend watching the video so you can fully understand the importance of this place. They have ranger hikes every now and again as well to get the full experience
Beautiful lake in a rather unexpected part of the country. Not a ton of guidance on what to do here so you'll have to piece it together yourself

Who would have thought that Amarillo would have one of the best coffee places in the country? This place is fantastic and worth getting a cup from no matter where you are staying!
Not a ton of good options in Clovis but this is ok for lunch. Has a fly problem though
Well if you are here you just gotta do this. Steak is perfectly acceptable and they have some beers they brew on site that are decent but this is all about the tourist trap experience, just enjoy!
In a very cool old historic building and integrates well with that motif. Not a ton to do around here during the week but a cool hotel!
Bit bigger and busier than I'd expect but still a less stressful experience than DFW or other larger airports

Awesome beer selection and amazing food. Small and tucked away and crowd seems local so good unique experience while here.
Gotta go through Pipestem and take the tram down to access this river, so kind of hard to get to. Worth the walk along the river trail though!
Bit of a pain to drive to but worth the trip for beautiful views of the largest falls on the New River
This is a good and educational experience while in town, definitely do on a rainy.
Really good food, everything we ate was fantastic. Only complaint is they seemed to have a fruit fly problem in here as they were all over!
