Ashley Dando: Hawker chan 02-126 chicken rice was superb. Opens at 10.30am and there was already a short line. My favourite was char siu pork. Better flavour and more succulent. Can’t go wrong with anything here!

Ashley Dando: Yi Dong Hao chicken rice was open late so could have a snack while drinking beer with friends. The ginger paste and chili sauce were great. Extra chicken and rice for $5 is a bargain

Cheen The Curious: Outram Park Roasted Meat #02-13/14 is as good as our 4SQ friends described. Pork & duck meat skillfully roasted, w a wonderful smoky fragrant & flavour. Chilli sauce thick & not so spicy.

Jess Thia: Emerald Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle @ #02-044: 1 out of 2 stalls where mum likes to da-bao whole chicken back home. Its flavourful & not too saltish, I also like. This stall is slightly cheaper

Cheen The Curious: Braised duck rice (or porridge). Run Ji #02-140.Simple serving of traditional staple. Duck meat slices were thick. Operated by friendly elderly lady. So expect old school cuts which incl bone bits :-)
