The oldest liquor license in LA, and they even have a vintage Pac Man arcade game. Very chill atmosphere and totally casual. Props to their beer selection.

I went along with witch doctor Malak’s insistence that his golden gopher statue was to be worshipped, mostly because my hands were bound, but also because his charts and graphs made a lot of sense.

Best bar in #DTLA. They can make any cocktail you want, and the staff is so friendly. There's a smokers lounge, thumbs up for that 🙌🏼 Last but not least, we loved the music they played

The oldest bar in Los Angeles! Also, one of the only bars that you can purchase beer to go! The Golden Gopher was established before liquor laws even went into place. Time for a pint!

Beer and cocktails. They keep it pretty simple here. Love that you can buy booze at the front on the way out.

Get a free game of pool or a jukebox play on your first check-in, and on every fifth check-in thereafter. The Mayor receives 1/2 price on tap beers. Specials apply to regular pricing, not happy hour.

Congratulations, you've found one of Esquire's Best Bars in America. This place has a liquor license so old, you can stop in for a martini at the bar and pick up a six-pack on your way out.
