In baggage claim A/B: the screen above the desk at the bottom of the escalators will tell you which carousel your luggage is on.
Harlon's BBQ in terminal C. Try the loaded baked potato with chopped brisket.
I enjoy that 60% of these comments involve the airlines directly and have nothing to do with the airport.

AdrienneGennaio 26, 2012Travel a lot and deal with "normal" air travel problems often but I will avoid IAH always (awful layout, long lines for help, of course humid and, though friendly and caring, no REAL help given).
E3NeenzSettembre 30, 2013Terminal A is pretty miserable. No TSA PreCheck line. You have to go to Term C for that. No Delta Lounge. You have to use the KLM Lounge in Term D. But the tram gets you to/from terminals quickly.
Erincik EdgüSettembre 22, 2014Not amusing. Limited cafés, below average duty free with limited variety of souvenirs and etc. Announcers mumble not aware this is an international airport and not everyone is Texas born. Free WiFi.

Sometimes, an elite security checkpoint is open on second floor of terminal C. But not after 4pm on thursdays, as I and 100 of my closest friends just found out.

DanielleAprile 13, 2012Watch out for the people carts! There everywhere and I'm pretty sure they get points for nicking ankles, breaking toes and knock downs.
The terminals here have good food, better than some airports!
Why is this airport so far! Spend time in the renovated Terminal C. It's a large airport, it really needs more walking escalators.

Mark BGiugno 21, 2016Huge airport! Be prepared to take a tram if you are connecting flights. Don't recommend making layovers less than an hour especially as several carriers have poor on time records.
Take a small stock card that reminds you where you parked. Huge after renovation in Terminal C.
Once you're past security you can ride the terminalink to other areas with better food, so get here early if you're hungry.

The Priority Pass lounge in Terminal D is very close to the post-customs security clearance.
Shanna ToftAprile 15, 2013TSA lady checked my hair (already down). I was like, "O...kay?" TSA guy in front of me responded, "Don't worry, you were very good." LOL! They must have been bored!
If you fly out of here a lot, CLEAR card is worth it.

If you have a long layover and you're in the C terminal, make sure to bring a book. The WiFi is AWFUL!
There are no maps anywhere in terminal C. You'll want to look online for the list of food options.
Come for the airplanes, stay for the corn dogs. Try the bacon wrapped corndog at urban cafe in terminal A.
