Carl Griffin: Absolute diamond of a pub. Serves great real ales. A must visit if you are visiting the nearby Gladstone museum.

Carl Griffin: Pub with an interior listed as having National interest but under threat from council plans to demolish it. Great real ales.
7. Malt N Hops
Carl Griffin: The house beer 'Bursley Bitter' is brewed by Tower Brewery. Great real ales.
8. The Wheatsheaf (Wetherspoon)
Carl Griffin: Oldest Wetherspoons in the Potteries. In its previous incarnation, Oasis played here to launch a single. Great value food and real ales.

Carl Griffin: This pub has a growing reputation for excellence in the search for quality real ales.

Carl Griffin: Impressive range of pottery at real cut down prices.
11. Post Office Vaults
Carl Griffin: Very pleasant cosy pub with large screens making it perfect to watch sports TV. Great real ales.

Carl Griffin: Sat in front of the current Hardwick Hall. The substantial ruins are run by English Heritage. Great views towards the Peak District.

Carl Griffin: Built by Bess of Hardwick. Contains rich tapestries and is fully furnished. Run by the National Trust.

Carl Griffin: They brew several of their own real ales. A great place to visit after Beamish Museum.

Carl Griffin: Plenty to entertain the whole family for the whole day. All the buildings were taken brick by brick from towns in the region. Have a beer in the Sun Inn.

Carl Griffin: Very informative and interesting exhibition. Can spend some time in this part.

Carl Griffin: Gets incredibly humid as you get higher in the dome. Look out for little birds running around.

Carl Griffin: A must visit attraction in South West England. The bio domes are so interesting and educational.
25. Castlerigg Stone Circle
Carl Griffin: Huge stone circle with an absolutely stunning backdrop. A must visit when in the lakes.

Carl Griffin: Huge and impressive stone circle.
27. Standing Stones of Stenness
Carl Griffin: Some of the most ancient standing stones in the World.
28. Broch of Gurness
Carl Griffin: The views out to sea are amazing. Impressive defensive structure.

Carl Griffin: Europe's best preserved prehistoric houses.
