Super quick security. Never had to wait more than 5 minutes. (Over 100 flights taken from here.)
Outside security area there is a decent sushi restaurant called Kikako! It's close to the sexurity check for Terminal A. Took me a while to find it!
Next to the Camel smoking lounge at Gate C (37) there is a vending machine that's basically 50 Cents cheaper than in the bloody restaurants around.
30 minutes free wifi, well organized airport, good food in restaurant aside gate 84, smoking lounge is located near gate 78, terminal A.

Arriving with the car depending in time of day you may need +1hour, in order to fly sweat-free.

Didn't see any fast food places cept the pizza place but those pricey it was certainly nice pizza! :D

Except for the crappy skytrain this is a well organized airport with a good selection of shops and fast checkin.

Security checkpoints are modern, passport control is fast, coffee's also bearable.

Very good airport, just 10 min away from city center
Get your food outside in the "Airport Arkaden" Area. Excellent Sushi. After security the choices are limited and overpriced. One of the few airports left with lots of smoking areas

Lovely airport but shopping and food options are better before security.

if have stopover minimum 3 hours: take a taxi to Duesseldorf Kaiserswerth. nice spot on Rhine river for a little walk and some german food (try Tonhalle restaurant close to railway tracks)

Jugendherberge Düsseldorf ist eher ein Hotel als eine klassische JH. Direkt am Rhein gegenüber der Altstadt und erreichbar mit dem Taxi für rund 25 Euro.
ElifMaggio 14, 2022Check the airport application before arriving the airport. I was diverted 3 security gates one in another terminal and I was almost missing flight. Without a luggage and 90 minutes before the flight.
Chaotische Beschilderung, gefühlt unendlicher Bustransfer zum Terminal nach Transatlantik-Flug - anschliessen Marathon durch Schilder-Wirrwar zur ruppigsten Sicherheitskontrolle... Wer plant so etwas?

It’s a small but cosy airport. Plenty of food options. No or very small lines for security checks
