One of the archetypal Transylvanian castles. Beautiful, great photo opportunities. Shame the town isn't a pretty backdrop for this stunning place!
Wow- easily some of the best ice cream I've ever had. Not just in Sofia, but anywhere. Salted caramel was amazing, but the selection was huge and the price is very reasonable!
Excellently executed, simple concept. Always a great, healthy, fast food option. Vegetable mix with peanut sauce is super tasty!

The best food and most friendly service we had in Borovets! They are rightly really proud of their freshly produced, local Bulgarian cuisine!

Great fun place and one of the only places in Borovets trying something a bit different! Staff were amazingly attentive and friendly given the large groups of rowdy lads and the food was really nice!

Some of the best traditional Bulgarian food I've ever had (and I've had a fair amount!). Cosy, friendly atmosphere and great value. Just don't order the house wine :)
Nice enough hotel- the rooms seem a bit dated, but location is good, as is the spa centre. Ok breakfast too...
Good ski resort with whole resort basically at the bottom of the runs, so very little need to walk wth ski boots on!
Really enjoyed our time in Borovets- the skiing has been good, good snow, good selection of places to eat and drink and the ski schools have also been excellent!
Great place for pool or snooker and a beer at literally any time of day. Love this place!
Very good beer bar in Sofia, although they had run out of a number of bottles of craft beer when we went. Apparently good music some nights too...

This place was amazing- authentic, tasty and really friendly. Get the kebab - choice of 5, 10 or 15 (10 was a big portion!). The kaimak was also excellent and all cheap :)
Really lovely (and huge) North African food. The lamb kebab was particularly good...
