Head to this well-reviewed restaurant for monster tortas, tacos made with fresh tortillas, hearty egg dishes, and fresh baked pastries. Nothing on the menu is over $12. Order the avocado cornbread.

The cazuelas of fresh fish or shrimp are where it's at! Always such fresh & bright flavors. Go here instead of Rosa, the drinks are better too & the bar much more fun to sit at.

The octopus taco was fantastic. Even at the insane $4 a pop. Ceviche with conch. So good. The large dishes of stewed pork and fava beans. Even though I was sad Recipe closed. This is Muy bueno too.

Slightly elevated Mexican home cooking in a cozy and fun setting. Though not a destination restaurant, it's a boon to the Upper West Side's Mexican food scene.

best, most creative casual resto on the UWS.. the decor is great & the food is superb.. always a fave go-to in the culinary wasteland of the UWS.

There's a lot of east village charm and character here. Surprising for the UWS. Brunch is a great deal.

Make sure to order the meatballs and chorizo. Standout dish. The avocado corn bread is also great.

Fish taco special was solid. And the Valentina cocktail was killer too. Good food all around here.

Delicious salmon cooked in a banana leaf! Spicy, but not too spicy. Platanos were awesome!
