Hertz return is great and from there through security took less than 10 minutes.

Easy airport. There is no gas station between the exit and the rental return. Plan ahead. They need pens at the rental return key drop.

Relax here. Going through security is a ceremony not a process. It's a southern dance. Relaxed but fun.

I must say this airport has come a long way. The new upgrades are nice it finally looks like a modern airport. Customer service sucks though. Doesn't seem like anyone here really enjoys their job. 😒

Situation with the luggage has improved unless I arrived where there was not much traffic. The food options indeed are better before passing security. Otherwise small and cite airport.

Go to the McDonalds and ask for the Secret Sauce burger. Only location in the world that serves it.

The Dunkin Donuts in the airport is the best place to eat. It's before security though so grab food fast before you go through!

Security is relatively easy and laid back. Of note, Thrifty and Dollar rentals now require a shuttle ride.

This is one of the easiest airports. Never had to wait in security line or rental car. Love it.

Do whatever you can to avoid checking a bag flying in to Charleston. Baggage claim takes ages. Every time. Even though you flew in on a tiny plane and baggage claim is 100 feet from the gates.

Skip the $40 taxi ride and opt for the $12 downtown hotels shuttle. It leaves every 15 minutes by the taxi stand.
