Their permanent collection is always interesting for all ages. One of my favorite places to go in New York is their Visible Storage Study Center. I could spend hours there discovering new pieces.

One of my fave museums in the city, always with fresh & interesting exhibits in a beautiful space. Free on the first Sat of the month w live music & talks from 5-11pm, but any day is awesome here.

First Saturdays are wonderful, and the museum's got a great collection of feminist art. It's a neighborhood institution and one of the best museums in NYC.

The Georgia O'Keeffe & We Wanted A Revolution exhibits are must sees this season.

I love this museum: an exceptional American collection, a beautifully displayed Egyptian collection, and special exhibits that wow me again and again.

Don't miss the Assyrian reliefs -- fascinating, and incredibly ancient.- the little bodega they used to have at BRIC (or one just like it) is here on the 5th floor. favorite for children
