Caleb TMaggio 14, 2011My perfect Blackbird visit. An Apple Chai with a shot of amaretto for a drink, and a roast beef with Swiss on a pretzel roll bun. Easily fixes anything a bad day could throw at you.

Hard to go wrong here, but try the Roasted Veggie on Pretzel Roll w/Goat Cheese. Redefines the sandwich for others to follow. Use a fork and enjoy it like a meal.

Had the chicken pesto panini and tried the chai tea. Both were great! Atmosphere is perfect if you're looking for a low key night!
Definitely best cafe in Valpo! Awesome atmosphere, great people, amazing food and baked goods all made from scratch!
Alex (I'm pretty sure that is her name) makes my tea with minimal sarcasm...and I appreciate that.
- Keep an eye out for Blackbird Bakery at the corner of Washington & Jefferson. Good baked goods to go!
