No doubt the best performance center in Istanbul in terms of acoustics, seating and view. Great parking space and food court in the vicinity
Best time to visit is by far the autumn when the foliage is at its best colouring. And of course in the morning in order to find a parking space which is tight. Lovely for a long walk
It is quite large yet has character and order with incredible shopping opportunity. Incredibly enough the shops are not over expensive
It is tiny, the exterior does not sum up to much yet is inviting. It was damaged during the synagogue bombings in 2003, restored and reopened in 2014
If the weather is good, sit outside. Ideal spot for people watching. Steak in butter sauce and yoghurt kebab are both great
Shortens the trip between Istanbul and Bursa - however not cheap to cross. As of August 2019 it costs TL 103 one way
The stage is in the middle with seating on either side, like a tribune almost. Modern and spacious. Love the atmosphere.

By far my favourite bookstore chain in Istanbul. Albeit being a little more expensive than the rest, love their displays and their reading couches and coffee corners.
It is the old town basically. Very authentic in terms of architecture. It is where spices, local crafts are sold. Walking in the streets is like walking in the pages of history
So much fun at this historic coffee shop. The interior is like a museum. Over the weekend they have live traditional music playing. It is crowded and loud. The coffee is delicious and so affordable
It is a restored inn. There are a few fine restaurants and giftbshops in the courtyard. The atmosphere is great, especially in warmer weather when you can sit outside and sip a drink
Definitely need a car to get to the restaurant which is huge with a very high ceiling. The food is really beyond words. Try their special “mix” and lentil soup which I understand is a special entree.
About 3 km away from the main touristic attractions, I would recommend more for business trips. The rooms are clean, comfortable. Staff are warm, hospitable. Incredible breakfast selection
Tiny, just opposite the sea with a very pretty view. There for Seyfettin Sarıer’s funeral
It is an old, old bakery. Cosy inside. They have a speciality house cookie. In fact all their cookies are very fresh and delicious
It is a historic building, there is a little railway museum inside, free of charge, worth seeing.
Five floors of art. Top floor displays the art of Adil Doğançay, his father. The remaining of the floors display his art. Quite small and cosy. Also a few of his personal belongings. Free of charge.
It is the one of a kind sports center in Istanbul. No membership. Can only attend group lessons or have one on one lessons with a trainer. Very hygienic
In the midst of three banks’ headquarters, the gallery caters mostly to those around the financial district. Always displays the art of amazing artists. Wonderful concert hall above the gallery
One of the friendliest services in Göktürk. The food is delicious and the interior is so welcoming. Love the cafe for the food, service, music and the atmosphere
I attended the opening of the gallery which felt “unfinished” at the time. Not sure if that’s the feeling it is supposed to convey, however will be and is great to display large sized artworks.
