My Destination AmsterdamOttobre 11, 2011Why not visit the Rijksmuseum in Schiphol Airport, it's free and located in the passport control area between piers E and F. It's really great and you can see works of art from the Dutch Golden Age.
Big! Some very good places to eat and lots of shops. Security is actually at the gate so bear in kind when heading to the gate that it takes more time
As airports go, this is one of the more pleasant ones. If you’re actually reading these tips before choosing a connecting airport, let me just suggest: connect via AMS.
When you park at Privium P2, you only have hand luggage, you are already checked in and your plane leaves from gates B or C, then you can take the premium shortcut-bridge (skipping the departure hall)
The best SkyTeam airport so far. Far better than CDG, so better to have Schiphol for your intercontinental connections.
I really like this airport... Although you walk quite a bit... Its well integrated with the amsterdam public transportation services.

Tiene todo lo que necesitas! Casas de cambio, restaurantes, bares, tiendas de ropa, baños, dormitorios, tren , así que no te aburrirás si tienes que esperar una conexión 😉
Lots of shopping can be done, before and after check in. Quite efficient even after the security upgrades. Suitcase on the conveyor belt with 10 minutes after being there.- One of the best hubs in Europe. Watch out for your connections: if you have to cross the airport, it'll take over 30min!
- Plenty of shops for presents, loads of different alternatives for restaurants / coffee. Be careful with connecting flights, you might need to walk for some minutes from one end to the other...

Super AttractionAgosto 11, 2012Great and amazing 6D Motion Rides while wait for (connecting) flight at AMS. It's in Lounge 2 upper level, and next to XpressSpa and Network Bar. The rides last for 5 minutes, the experience for ever!

If you happen to seal your suitcase padlock key in your suitcase (like a fool *ahem*); there's a wonderful man at Seal n' Go with a huge set of boltcutters down near desks 15-17.
Nice, spacious and clean airport. Great hub to all possible destinations. Amsterdam by train 10 minutes away.

Впринцапе очень удобный аэропорт, нет толкучки, задержки багажа. Близко располагаются кассы по продаже билетов на жд транспорт, а так же много магазинов и ресторанчиков где можно дешево пообедать

Secret quiet spot: at the far end of section D (gate D87), there are reclined seats, an amazing view of the runways, and NO people. Very odd; very nice.

In a rush to make a connection - security screening has gotten more intense here. Take every cable, anything remotely "electronic" and any and all containers or they will completely search your bags.
