- Awesome historical hotel built for the 1893 World's Fair & one of the largest hotels in the world during the 20th century. Rumors of hauntings & a rich history create a Stephen King like environment.Voto positivo17Voto negativoVotato positivo Oct 15, 2024
- Chris JMaggio 28, 2017The north tower (right side) has all the even numbered rooms. The south tower has all the odd numbered rooms.Voto positivo13Voto negativoVotato positivo Oct 24, 2024
- Kee HinckleyNovembre 23, 2013Lovely old hotel. Great tall ceilings, bay windows, and cute rooms. Yes, if you want ultramodern it's not for you. But there are plenty of plugs, wireless for a small fee, and above all, character.Voto positivo10Voto negativoVotato positivo Oct 16, 2024
- Emily HuntSettembre 1, 2013Great hotel, especially for the price. I got a deal through Hotels.com for $179. The rooms are nice, staff is friendly, location is great, and it has wonderful views. I would definitely come back.Voto positivo9Voto negativo
- Room 441 is notorious as the most haunted room in the hotel, bring a oujia board. The creepiest floor is the 12th in the north tower, back staircase by the sealed room is very scary to the roof.Voto positivo2Voto negativo
- Un hotel clásico de Chicago con excelente ubicación. Las habitaciones podrían tener mas iluminación (sobre todo para la tarde y noche), pero fuera de eso, tiene buena relación calidad-precio.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- People who complain about this are insane. This is our third year staying and each time it's been great. Do have to pay for wifi but that's minor. Plus there is a lot of history too.Voto positivo3Voto negativo
- Dan RodriguezMaggio 1, 2017Excelentes habitaciones pero muy frías y con baños pequeños pero super ubicación 😉👍🏼Voto positivo1Voto negativo
- Christian TafoyaMaggio 13, 2015Great value for a historic building in a convenient location. Public transit nearby along side amazing restaurants in walking distance.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- Kayla FeuchtenbergerLuglio 11, 2018Great location within walking distance to parks, the river, Michigan Ave, the loop. Cheap for a good location. Has neat old architecture.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- The kind of place you expect to see on the news preceded by the words "Huge fire sweeps through Chicago's historic"Voto positivo1Voto negativo
- BridgieLuglio 2, 2012This place is awesome! We walked into our room and it was bright, super air conditioned, and clean. The ghosts sound like fun too... Let's see how the night goes!Voto positivo1Voto negativo
- Its a bit dated but the rooms are great. Super views of lake Michigan, comfy bed, high ceilings! Want dated? Stay at hotel pa in NY city. This one is greatVoto positivo2Voto negativo
- Spoon UniversityOttobre 26, 2016The Rafael Restaurant is a choice spot to eat with views of Grant Park... and spirits. The Congress Plaza Hotel is haunted by many individuals, and none of them seem to be very friendly. Leggi tuttoVoto positivoVoto negativo
- Careful what you leave in your room, things are missing and housekeepers enter your room at will long after they have cleaned your room.if you can stay elswhere,DO SO!!!Voto positivoVoto negativo
- Staffan HolmgrenLuglio 16, 2012Huge and old, feels like I'm in 'the Shining'. Place is off the grid in the financial district, no fun places around - taxi is a must. Clean an airy rooms but the standard is old. No WiFi.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- beez41nineLuglio 15, 2013Great Location for #TasteOfChicago Qaint hotel staff great BUT go across to Chicago Carry Out at TravelLodge for breakfast and lunch. Much more economical.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- Rohan MalpaniLuglio 20, 2018Definitely plan for parking. It is expensive. Hotel is good, old architecture. So don't expect slick stuff. Century old interiors with a little modern touch.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- Racky RossLuglio 19, 2015Feels a bit like Shining's Overlook Hotel. And it's definitely a great value for the price you pay! :-)Voto positivoVoto negativo
- People leaving comments here obviously do not stay at many hotels! :). Refrigerators available, just ask. Staff is friendly. Rooms are nice. For the price, I expected worse but was very happy!Voto positivo11Voto negativo
- _Novembre 1, 2015Did you know this place is haunted? Well I'm not going to tell you the real answer in that. Going under renovations in different parts of the hotel. Room are huge, but run downs and feels plain.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- Sara SteptoeSettembre 13, 2011So apparently this is one of the most haunted hotels in america. The sixth and twelfth floors especially. I'm on the 11th. We will see!Voto positivo11Voto negativo
- Jennifer Peters - ExOneSettembre 11, 2012It's not the Palmer House but it has its old charm & far more affordable. Definitely ask for a front facing room on a high floor- the view is great.Voto positivo1Voto negativo
- A great deal if you want to stay on Michigan Ave and be a part of Chicago history. It's affordable, not four-star. Pick your priority.Voto positivo9Voto negativo
- Jonathan LevyLuglio 9, 2018Not the most modern hotel but fair price nice lake view and pretty clean w/ strong A/CVoto positivoVoto negativo
- Beware...of two rooms I've seen, neither had adjustable thermostats. Check the room out before unpacking & settling in.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- Good: inexpensive, close to everything, electrical outlets everywhere. Not so good: hot water was lukecold, no fridge (if you care). It's not a 5 star hotel, don't expect it to be. Would stay again.Voto positivo1Voto negativo
- Brandon OzardSettembre 16, 2014Do not stay here! It reaks of mold and mildew. The rooms are crap, And have included a lovely picture of the linen closet opposite my room to emphasize this.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- Dixie BarteeDicembre 18, 2014Nice & affordable. Great view of lake MI. older rooms with old doors. Not very insulated for noise - making it hard to sleep.Voto positivoVoto negativo
- AlexMarzo 10, 2013If you're still drunk from the night before and it's 2 pm and you're showering and you have bad vision you'll see faces of dead people in the tiles of the shower.Voto positivo7Voto negativo
- Jennifer💋 BombaLuglio 22, 2012There are multiple plugs throughout the guest rooms.....good for your phone chargers, hair dryers and straighteners.Voto positivo8Voto negativo
- Bart CrouchGiugno 19, 2013My basic criteria: clean, quiet & comfy, was met. Great stay.Voto positivo1Voto negativo

- Tomas FukMaggio 14, 2016It must have been a great hotel in 19th century...now its kind of outdatedVoto positivoVoto negativo
- Christopher BrushAgosto 9, 2010classic Chicago hotel with a lot of history and character. staff are not that outgoing or personable in most cases. at $375 per night for our suite, I was a little irritated to have to pay for interneVoto positivoVoto negativo

- Liquid SasquatchLuglio 29, 2012Rates are cheap, view/location is ideal, hotel is manky. If you stay here, plan to spend AS LITTLE TIME AS POSSIBLE at the hotelVoto positivoVoto negativo
- SebineMaggio 26, 2012Great place if you're into history. If it weren't a historical place, though, it would not command the kind of rates it does and I don't think it would get clientele much at all.Voto positivo2Voto negativo
