A classic LA venue. Leave your gum behind, be nice to the security guards, and don't forget to look up at the ceiling in between bands. Almost every view's a good one here.
Don't come here if you don't like getting uncomfortably close to a lot of people at once. Beer fests here are super fun, sound is okay, bring cigarettes because you'll want to smoke them.
One of my favorite places to see a show in LA. Every view is a good view and if you get bored of the crowds take your beer out back and chat up a stranger or stare at your feet. Bring cigarettes.
The first music venue I went to in LA. Feels like your friend's basement. Lots of good beer behind the bar, a photobooth in the back, and a great outdoor area in the way back.
One of my favorites. Arrive early or push through to the front. Read parking signs scrupulously.
The people who work here are terrible but it's a beautiful space and the sound is amazing. Just get here early so you can actually see the stage.

Search for cheap vinyl, pay too much for new vinyl, get here early for the in-stores, and wander forever like there's nothing else to do.
