Iconic, historical, vintage, rated as one of the best place to drink in Milan by several international magazines. Signature cocktail is "Negroni Sbagliato". Be italian with real red passion!
If Mad Men had been shot in Italy, this would be a permanent set. Old waiters in jacket, superb classic cocktails and, most importantly, no sign of that crappy/lounge/beat/electro shit in background.
Here I drunk one of the best "sbagliato" of my drinking career, bittersweet taste and balanced aroma. The satisfaction is huge, as the ice block (it's a block actually, not a cube) in the drink.
There's a reason everyone writes about the Negroni Sbagliato. Just get it. And when you're finished with photos of you and the huge glass you can ask for your second in a normal sized glass.
Very nice place to sit among the locals and to have congenious local drink specials, to chatter with friendly staff who seem to have crossed the times.
With a cocktail list that reads like that of a hipsterbar in the East Village. Bar Basso is the real thing, having introduced Milan to the cocktail in 1967... Leggi tutto
Try the Negroni Sbagliato, their signature cocktail. "Sbagliato" means "mistake," and the mistake here is the substitution of sparkling wine in place of vermouth in the Negroni.
The Sbagliato is actually served in the smaller glass, not the big one like most people suggest. the usual Negroni in the big glass is stronger (that’s why the HUGE ice cube) ;)
Hello, if you are in Bar Basso, probably you are in Heaven for Drinks:) Ask an aperol with MEGA,HUGE GLASSES or ask a Negroni sbagliato which means NegroniDirty ;) workers are old and nice people.
