Tiff Ting: My favorite part of the grounds was Kyo-no-uchi, the garden next to the castle. Unless you want to see the reconstructed castle interior, don't pay admission (¥820) to explore the rest of the park.

nørî: Food-wise, I recommend 'Hiroto-ya', a shop that serves Spanish-influenced Okinawan tapas. View-wise, go check out the 2nd floor of Rito-Marché (離島マルシェ) during the day/early evening hours!!!
Dustin Lee: Cute italian place hidden on a side street with little signage. Parking available across from gas station. Fried Beni-imo, the chicken dish, and carbonara were all excellent. Reservation recommended
Dustin Lee: Elegant space. Jazz nights on Thursday and Saturday. Whisky selection is reasonably priced. You can use your breakfast tickets here, for up to 2000 yen per ticket.
Dustin Lee: Surprisingly affordable for the level of luxury you get here. Lots of guests are here to attend weddings. "Aria cara" lounge hosts jazz nights in an elegant space
Joyce: It's been destroyed 4 times, so there's nothing original anymore. Good to learn more about the history of Okinawa, but don't expect to see original artifacts or construction.
