Historic, as a New Yorker I do think this place is a contender to Katz's, or will at least satisfy your smoked meat/pastrami craving while in Montreal, definitely a must-try spot, owner is nice too!

If there is only one café to check out in the city it's this one. Live music everyday, great coffee, good food, amazing atmosphere, very nice crew... really, it's the best café I know.

Came late night. So glad it's sharing-plates as I wanted to try everything. The handful of items we did go for were excellent & surprising. I suspect this is one of those places you can't go wrong at.
Desserts are great. Ambiance is lovely w/the jazz music starting around 6pm. Get there before 6 (like 5:30) to snag a table for dinner. When we left around 7 a line had formed outside the restaurant
Institution ! Great bar with ZERO pretentiousness. And of course snacks all round for everybody! One of the last of it's kind I highly recommend!
If you enjoy live jazz ask for a table in the section where the band is located. Reservations recommended.

Ouvert depuis le 9 août, Loïc est situé dans l'ancienne Banque Molson à St-Henri. Joli bar moderne, il propose des vins, des cocktails, bières et quelques bouchés. Bel ajout dans le quartier. Bravo !
What can I say - maybe the best little bookstore in Canada with some amazing titles published by their own press. It's a gem.
I had gravlax for brunch. Super good. Loved the latte too. Very friendly and polite staff. Enjoyed my brunch experience a lot. Going there next weekend to try another of their plates.
