Love it off the little Tokyo area on St.Marks. it is more grown ups, low key yet always good food and sake selection. Choose whatever seasonal, like the monkfish liver I got. Or anything uni!

Comforting yet inventive food, relaxed atmosphere and great service. Get the tartar, sashimi or steak bowls, crispy shrimp tempura, uni ramen. Specials rotate regularly and are always a treat!

Wasan offers up an excellent five-course menu at $55. Dishes like the the Spinach and Arugula salad with Duck and the Stone Grilled Sirloin Steak are superb. Don't leave with trying dessert.

I'm afraid to write a review for this spot-- because I'm afraid it'll get too busy! It's a must try if you like Japanese. Get the foie gras and Uni lover sushi-- every time.

Perfect place for uni and Sake lovers! Uni lover sushi was great, as well as the tuna, salmon roll, and black cod

Fridays and Saturdays 10pm to 1am they serve great ramen. Try the simple shio ramen with a perfectly soft-boiled egg.

Their "late night ramen" is relatively cheap compared to their regular menu. Decent stuff and since it's open earlier (10-midnight fri/sat), you're not dealing with the drunken masses like at benkei.

Hot summer night? Get the Wasan Chilled Ramen. Only a small amount of broth - it is more like a deconstructed ramen. Fri and Sat nights after 10pm.

Great for dates. Intimate and chill. The uni sushi and foie gras rice bowl are amazing! Also have the Yona Yona ale!

Try the hidden ramen menu - only available late night Friday and Saturday. Ramen is light, refreshing and delicious!

NYC Foodie reco'd: Shrimp buns, both versions of shrimp tempura (one has tortilla crust!), short rib and sashimi. End meal with smokey tea.

Foie Gras rice and the open roll are great breaks from your everyday sushi. The sake selection is excellent too. Just ask Toshi.
